Kate Middleton’s wedding dress wasn’t the only white gown making headlines on Friday.

Her younger sister and maid of honor, Pippa Middleton, looked stunning in an ivory satin-based crepe form-fitting column dress by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. The cowl neck gown had the same button detail and lace trims as the bride’s dress.

Although a bridesmaid wearing white may be considered a fashion faux pas in the U.S., it is meant to be good luck in Britain.

Phillipa Charlotte Middleton is two years younger than Kate and is a writer for her family’s business. Pip, as she is known to her friends, planned Kate’s top secret Dirty Dancing bachelorette party and has a party planning website of her own.

Although many fans and royal watchers would like to see Pippa date Prince Harry, she is currently dating Alex Loudon, an old friend of Prince William’s.
