Two years ago today, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were married at the 15th-century Odescalchi Castle in Lake Bracciano, Italy. With the whole world watching, the couple wed in a lavish ceremony in front of their families and celebrity friends. Sparing no expense, the three-day affair was rumored to have cost over $3.5 million.

Two years later, the couple are still going strong and celebrated their second wedding anniversary at home in Los Angeles with their daughter, Suri Cruise. According to People.com, the couple celebrated one day early while Katie had a day off from her Broadway show. “Holmes took off for L.A. after the Sunday matinee of ‘All My Sons.’ The show is dark on Mondays, and Holmes returned to New York for her regular Tuesday performance.”
