Sarah Jessica Parker’s Black Dress Wedding Regret

In a bid to escape unwanted media attention, Sarah Jessica Parker wore a black dress to her 1997 wedding to Matthew Broderick. While she may have fooled the press, the actress is still regretting her decision.

Parker says she recently had a conversation about it with her seven-year-old son.

“James Wilkie’s teacher is getting married, and he said, ‘Do you think she will be wearing black?’” the actress tells the March issue of Harper’s Bazaar. “I said, ‘No! I can almost assure you.’ Then he said, ‘Do you still regret it?’ and I said, ‘Yes, I still regret it.’”

Parker says that if she and Broderick ever renew their wedding vows, she will definitely be wearing white.

“I’m not kidding. White it up. I’d wear a beautiful, proper wedding dress, like I should have worn that day.”
