Russell Brand and Katy Perry were married in India on Saturday at the Aman-i-Khas luxury resort near Rajasthan.

“Russell Brand and Katy Perry are overjoyed to confirm that they were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Brand on Saturday, October 23,” a statement released by the couple says. “The very private and spiritual ceremony, attended by the couples’ closest family and friends was performed by a Christian minister and longtime friend of the Hudson Family. The backdrop was the inspirational and majestic countryside of Northern India.”

According to UsMagazine.com, Perry was planning to have a rotating bridal wardrobe with wedding dresses by Elie Saab, Zuhair Murad and Donna Mizani.

In the days leading up to the ceremony, she was seen with a traditional bridal nose ring and Henna designs on her hands.
