Jim Toth proposed to Reese Witherspoon over the holidays with a rare four-carat Ashoka diamond engagement ring set on a pave band.

According to People.com, the unique Ashoka cut has 62 displayed facets and rounded corners to create a dazzling sparkle. Less than 10 percent of rough diamonds each year have the potential to be cut this way.

Reese’s custom-designed ring was made by the William Goldberg Diamond Corporation.

“In the past year, the retro look in diamonds has been very popular,” co-owner Eve Goldberg says. “It’s a very elegant cut and it has an old feel to it.”
