Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem are engaged reports the New York Daily News.
“They’re telling friends they will get married,” says a pal, who heard the news directly from one of them.
Cruz had expressed ambivalence over marriage earlier this year saying, “I don’t know if I believe in marriage. I believe in family, love and children.”
With rumors persisting that she is pregnant, friends say she has decided to get married to appease her Catholic parents.
