Mike Piazza and Alicia Rickter Wedding
Miami, Florida
January 29, 2005
Mike Piazza married former Playboy playmate Alicia Rickter on January 29, 2005 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Miami, Florida.
The evening candelit ceremony was attended by 120 guests, including former Mets pitcher Al Leiter and Detroit Tigers catcher Ivan Rodriguez.
The bride arrived at the church in a classic 1965 Rolls-Royce wearing a white satin Vera Wang gown with a plunging v-neck. She held a bouquet of ivory and pink roses.
The five bridesmaids, which included her former “Baywatch” co-star Angelina Bridges and Playboy playmates Brande Roderick and Lisa Dergan, wore Vera Wang dresses in a deep red.
The groom and his groomsmen wore dark grey suits by Valentino accented with silver ties and pink rose boutonnieres.
The ceremony was officiated by Auxiliary Bishop Ignatius Catanello of the Diocese of Brooklyn.
As the newlyweds exited the church, they were showered in rose petals.
Following the ceremony, luxury yachts provided transportation to the Vanderbilt Mansion on private Fisher Island.
The estate was decorated with roses and orchids. Peacocks walked the grounds, and guests used golf carts to get around.
The couple shared their first dance to “At Last” by Etta James before being seated for a Mediterranean-inspired feast of seafood, filet mignon and sea bass.
For dessert, a four-tier cake decorated with shells and starfish was served.
Following the wedding, the newlyweds honeymooned at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Miami.
