Michelle Obama Inaugural Ball Gown Would Make a Great Wedding Dress

Wednesday January 21, 2009 9:44 AM

Michelle Obama Inaugural Gown Could Be Wedding DressMichelle Obama wore a Jason Wu one-shouldered, white chiffon gown to ten inaugural balls last night. The fitted bodice and flare skirt dress with floral applique and beading could easily work as wedding gown.

Although Wu told UsMagazine.com the dress is “priceless” and going to the Smithsonian per tradition, a version of it appeared on the runway in Wu’s Pre-Spring 2009 show and copies of it are sure to be popping up everywhere in the coming weeks.

The Jason Wu collection is available at stores including Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue.  Mrs. Obama special ordered the dress from her favorite boutique in Chicago, Ikram.
