Luciana Barrosa and Matt Damon were married on December 9, 2005 at New York City Hall. The 9 a.m. ceremony was a private affair, officiated by the justice of the peace. Luciana’s seven-year-old daughter, Alexia, was the only family member in attendance. Barrosa was three months pregnant at the time.
Following the ceremony, the couple called friends and family with the good news. The next day Damon and Barrosa flashed their platinum rings by jeweler Steven Goldfarb.
Instead of a honeymoon, the couple returned to London, where Matt continued work on “The Good Shepard.”
