Kate Walsh and Alex Young Wedding

Ojai, California

Kate Walsh and Alex Young were married in a 5 p.m. ceremony at the Ojai Presbyterian Church in Ojai, California.

The bride walked down the aisle in a three-quarter length sleeve lace Monique Lhuillier gown and cathedral-length veil. She clutched a bouquet of white orchids.

The five bridesmaids wore blush pink silk chiffon dresses by Monique Lhuillier accented with black beaded belts.

One hundred and twenty guests were in attendance including Katherine Heigl, TR Knight and Kate Beckinsale. The ceremony began as a gospel choir sang “God Bless This Broken Road” by Rascal Flatts.

The couple recited personal vows and exchanged Neil Lane rings.

Before the ceremony concluded, Kate’s friend, Priscilla Ahn performed “Dream,” a song she wrote about wishes coming true. 

Following the ceremony, a black-tie reception was held at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa‘s private Casa Elar.

Guests enjoyed cocktails on the patio of the Spanish-style estate, which was decorated with hundreds of candles by wedding planner Jo Gartin of Love, Luck and Angels.

The couple shared their first dance to Anya Marina’s cover of “Someday My Prince Will Come” before being seated for dinner.

Menu choices were Kobe beef, chicken, salmon kebabs and vegetarian plate.

For dessert, Fantasy Frostings created a red velvet wedding cake with cream cheese frosting and butterflies. Butterflies were a theme throughout the affair.

The couple spent their wedding night at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa and honeymooned at the Hotel Bora Bora in Tahiti.
