“American Idol” judge Kara DioGuardi married Mike McCuddy on Sunday in Prospect Harbor, Maine.

The singer-songwriter wore a Vera Wang gown for the mid-day vows which took place at the United Methodist Church in front of 30 guests.

“I feel great,” Kara tells In Touch Weekly. “What was most unbelievable about the experience was when I looked out at the church and saw all these people that were so important to me and Mike, who were there for us. It was pretty powerful. I was very emotional and I’m not somebody who breaks down and cries.”

DioGuardi has owned a vacation home on the water in Prospect Harbor for several years. She met McCuddy when he was working on the home next door, and they were engaged in Mexico in December.

“It’s been raining in Maine for 60 days,” Kara says. “The only day that was nice was yesterday!”
