“The Bachelorette’s” Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski have said they plan to marry in the next year, but first they are enjoying their engagement.

“This engagement is very different than a typical engagement,” Jillian said on Thursday’s “Ellen DeGeneres Show.” “As my father said, ‘Jill, you are not walking down the aisle.’ We are living together, adopting a dog, working charities together and attending family functions. Now we are trying to work at [our relationship at a ] more normal level.”

When the wedding actually does happen, Jillian says it will be very laid back.

“I want to have a couple cakes, a live band and maybe like 100 people there and that’s it,” she tells E! News. “Probably in my parent’s backyard. Like, totally low key.”
