Theroux proposed on his birthday, August 10, in New York.

“Justin Theroux had an amazing birthday on Friday, receiving an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, accepted his proposal of marriage,” his rep tells People.com.

The couple of more than a year began dating after filming “Wanderlust” in 2011.

Aniston was previously married to Brad Pitt. It will be the first marriage for Theroux.
