Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz Secretly Wed
Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz were married in a secret wedding earlier this month.
The ceremony took place in front of a small group of family members at a friend’s house in the Bahamas. Cruz wore a dress by her longtime friend John Galliano for the intimate vows.
The couple met while filming “Jamon” in 1992 and began dating in 2007.
Two years later, Cruz was spotted wearing a sapphire ring on her engagement ring finger but refused to comment on marriage plans.
“One thing I don’t do, I don’t lie about my personal life,” Cruz told David Letterman. “It’s sacred to me. It’s my life. But I don’t give details about it because I am allergic to that.”
