Lady Antebellum singer Hillary Scott married drummer Chris Tyrrell on January 7, 2012.

The wedding took place at the Appel Inn near Albany, New York in a heated tent on the back deck. Only a few family and friends attended the surprise wedding.

The bride wore a strapless Vera Wang mermaid-style wedding dress featuring all-over lace underlay, a layered tulle skirt with horsehair banding and a hand-cut corded lace applique with hand-applied crystal-and-pearl beading.

The groom wore a gray suit by Ermenegildo Zegna.

Following the vows, the couple toasted with champagne flutes and a bottle of Dom Perignon sent by bandmates Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood who were not in attendance.

A winter wonderland themed reception was held inside the Inn’s red barn which was decorated with flocked trees and twinkle lights.

Steven Curtis Chapman performed for the couple and their guests before the night was over.

Tyrrell proposed to Scott over Fourth of July weekend on a lake in East Tennessee.
