Today is the third wedding anniversary of Marcia Cross and Tom Mahoney.

Marcia and Tom were married on June 24, 2006 at Church of Our Savior Episcopal Church in Pasadena. Following the vows, a reception was held at the Ritz Carlton Huntington Hotel. Marcia wore a strapless Reem Acra gown and had seven flower girls.

How They Met: Marcia and Tom met at a Los Angeles area flower shop in June of 2004. Marcia saw Tom walking across the street and followed him inside. “I thought maybe there was some reason why I found him so magnetic,” she has said. “Like maybe he was an actor and I’d recognize him as soon as he turned around.” Although she didn’t get up the nerve to approach him, Cross left her number with the woman at the counter in case he came back.  The man, Tom Mahoney, returned to the shop one day and got Cross’s number. He called her and they went on a date. 

Engagement: Marcia and Tom got engaged in August of 2005. Tom popped the question during a weekend getaway at Calistoga Ranch.

The Wedding: In honor of their first meeting, the wedding reception was designed to look like a flower shop by Hidden Garden Floral Studio. Large trees were set up in each corner of the room, and centerpieces of pink tulips, white tulips, hydrangeas, burgandy roses and pink roses were set on tables.

On Marriage: “If we had met in our 20s, we would have been ships in the night,” Cross has said. “He had his journey to go on, and I had mine. He possesses stability and I’ve got an impulsive side. It’s a wonderful combination.”
