Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are celebrating their fourth wedding anniversary today. The traditional anniversary gift for the fourth year of marriage is fruit and flowers.

Affleck and Garner were married on June 29, 2005 in a top secret beach wedding at Parrot Cay Resort in Turks and Caicos. Jennifer was five months pregnant at the time and wore an empire waist gown by Vera Wang. Her “Alias” father Victor Garber performed the vows and was one of only two witnesses.

How They Met: Ben and Jennifer met while filming the movie “Pearl Harbor” in 2001. They worked together on “Daredevil” in 2003 and started dating in 2004.

Engagement: Although they never confirmed it, rumor has it that Ben proposed to Jennifer on her 33rd birthday in 2005. She was seen wearing a diamond eternity band soon after and now wears a 4.5 carat cushion-cut engagement ring by Harry Winston for special occasions.

On Marriage: “I don’t have this fantasy about marriage anymore,” Garner has said. “Everyone says it takes hard work. Well, it does – and I’m much more pragmatic about romance than I used to be. The rule with marriage is the less you talk about it the better, as far as I can tell.”
