Gwyneth Paltrow is on the cover of next month’s Elle UK talking about a subject in which she’s usually mum — her marriage to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

“It doesn’t behoove us to be a public couple,” Paltrow explains in response to rumors their marriage is on the rocks. “He certainly doesn’t want to be that. We’ve never ever walked down a red carpet together, we never will,” she adds.

The actress and musician were married in Santa Barbara, CA in 2003 and are rarely photographed together. Says Paltrow, “If people think that that means we’re not together then –- ha ha ha! –- so be it.”
