Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed Wedding

Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed were married on October 1, 2011.

The wedding took place at the Beverly Hills Hotel on the Crystal Lawn in front of 400 guests including Hugh Hefner, Dog the Bounty Hunter and Bill Maher.

Gene walked down the aisle to a standing ovation and cheers. He was followed by the couple’s children, Sophie and Nick, and their dog, Snippy, who served as ring bearer.

Shannon walked down the aisle with her mother wearing a wedding dress by Priscilla of Boston and ivory Rene Caovilla heels. She carried a bouquet of garden roses.

The bridesmaids, including the couple’s daughter Sophie, wore different ivory colored dresses.

Gene and Shannon recited personal vows under an altar filled with hydrangea, roses, and mini calla lilies in their wedding colors of cream, champagne and plum.

They exchanged rings by Goel Talasazan with inscriptions, “My Love Now and Forever,” for Gene and “You are my first love and you will be my last love,” for Gene. Shannon used the gold from her father’s wedding band to melt and reshape into a new wedding band designed for Gene.

A reception followed in the ballroom where the couple’s daughter, Sophie, performed “At Last” for her parents first dance. Her brother, Nick, later performed his own rendition of “Sway.”

Shannon changed into a Badgley Mischka dress with a crystal neckline and belt for the reception followed by a third silver sequined gown she put on later in the evening. During a slide show presentation of the couple’s life together, she took to the stage and performed “Que Sera Sera” on stage with a big band.

A seven-tiered chocolate and raspberry wedding cake was served along with a red velvet groom’s cake for Gene with the words “Que Sera Sera” written on it.

At the end of the night, Kiss performed three songs including “”Rock and Roll All Nite” and the newlyweds had fun posing for photos in a royal rock wedding photo booth.

They spent their wedding night at the Beverly Hills Hotel and honeymooned on a cruise of the Caribbean.
