Danica McKellar and Mike Verta were married at St James by the Sea in La Jolla, California on March 22, 2009.

The 4 p.m. ceremony took place in front of 150 guests including Danica’s “The Wonder Years” co-stars Dan Lauria and Allie Mills.

The bride arrived at the church in a black stretch limousine with three bridesmaids, including her sister and maid of honor, Crystal McKellar. 

Each attendant wore a halter-style purple gown and carried a bouquet of purple hydrangeas with white and yellow roses.

Danica wore an ivory strapless gown by Renee Strauss and clutched a bouquet of cream-colored roses, stephanotis and ivy. 

She walked down the aisle on the arm of her father, Christopher McKellar, as the San Diego Symphony performed an original song written by the groom.

Following the 20-minute vows, a black-tie reception was held at La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club.

The couple shared their first dance to a love song composed by Verta called “Forever in Love With You.” The Sinatra-style waltz was performed by Danica’s uncle, Kim McKellar.

After a sitdown dinner, the newlyweds cut into a three-tier wedding cake with layers of devil’s food and hot milk sponge cake with fresh fruit.

As guests headed home at the end of the evening, the wedding party walked next door to The Marine Room, a family favorite restaurant. As the bride looked on, the groom performed “Forever In Love With You” for her on the piano.
