June 11 is a popular day for celebrity weddings. In 2005, “Clueless” star Alicia Silverstone wed her musician boyfriend Christopher Jarecki in Lake Tahoe, CA. In 2004, Mira Sorvino wed Christopher Backus in a private civil ceremony at the Santa Barbara Courthouse (they later followed it up with a religious ceremony and reception on the island of Capri, Italy). And in 2000, actor Mark Ruffalo married Sunrise Coigney.

Why is June such a popular month for weddings? In ancient history, Juno was the Roman goddess of marriage and many Romans chose to honor her by getting married in June.
