1 MILLION DOLLARS for Hilary Duff’s ring? WHAT??!!!! I like the girl but that is obscene and almost criminal. Who needs or wants a million dollar ring? If you must have opulence spend $50K and then give the other $950K to charity. Dear Lord, these people have no sense.

Did she really find that ring on the beach?

A couple of years ago, my step dad found a ring in the washer at a laundromat. We never thought much of it because, who would lose a ring that huge at a crappy little laundromat in this tiny town? But I got curious about it and took it to a jewelry store. It ended up being a 1.1ct. diamond with no flaws on a platinum band. We still can’t hardly believe it… We’ve never really been able to find out how much it’s worth yet.

I actually think that Scarlett’s ring is endearing in that it shows that she married for love and it wasn’t about publicity or putting on a show. Ryan and Scarlett are both A-list actors who can undoubtedly afford a million dollar ring but did not feel the need to flaunt their wealth. This somewhat modest approach is refreshing- and in stark contrast to the obscene rings that the likes of Hilary Duff and Kim Kardashian are sporting.
