Celebrity Engagement Ring Style: East-West Setting

Neil Lane Engagement Ring From The Bachelor

Neil Lane Jewelry

If you loved Rachel McAdams’s wedding ring in “The Time Traveler’s Wife,” you are probably a fan of the East-West engagement ring setting.

Most traditional engagement rings feature a diamond facing North and South. An alternative way to wear a diamond is with the stone lying horizontally. This setting has a classic vintage appeal and was most popular during eras when fewer accents were used on the sides of the center stone.

Catherine Zeta-Jones wears a Fred Leighton designed ten-carat marquis diamond with an East-West setting, and “Bachelor” Jason Mesnick proposed to Melissa Rycroft with an East-West three-carat marquis diamond by Neil Lane.

I have actually been looking for a picture of the ring featured in the movie. When I saw it I knew that was the exact ring for me; it’s simple and elegant and not too flashy. I absolutely love it!!! Do you have a picture of that ring shown in the movie? I really want to show my boyfriend…I have explained the style to him but I want to show him THE ring!
I hope you can help…I have been searching for months now
