Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall is engaged to his college girlfriend, Michi Nogami. Marshall got down on one knee in front of family and friends at Roy’s in Ko Olina, Hawaii on Feburary 5 and proposed marriage. The couple were in Hawaii where Marshall was playing for the AFC in the Pro Bowl.

“It’s me taking a step back and looking at what’s important,” Marshall told the Denver Post. “What really solidified it for me was coming out here and seeing guys, bachelors at the pool with their girlfriends, and then looking at guys like Peyton Manning and Troy Polamalu and Casey Wiegmann with their families. And looking at them, I said those are the guys I want to be. You could see their peace. That’s what so important for me, is to have peace. And this is the ultimate step to achieve that.”

Marshall and Nogami met while attending University of Central Florida. They plan to set a date when they return to the mainland this week.
