Bart Freundlich and Julianne Moore Wedding
New York, New York
August 23, 2003
Bart Freundlich married Julianne Moore in a small, intimate ceremony in New York on August 23, 2003. The couple tied the knot in the backyard of their Greenwich Village home, in a non-denominational ceremony performed by a family friend. The 36 guests in attendance included Ellen Barkin, Ron Perelman, Billy Crudup and Peter Berg.
The bride wore an elegant, sleeveless lilac dress by Prada, and sparkly earrings she had borrowed from Barkin. The groom wore a cream-colored suit and lilac tie to match the bride’s dress.
Florist Raquel Corvino created a lily of the valley bouquet and boutouniere for bride and groom, and a head wreath of hydrangea buds and scabiosa for their daughter, Liv Freundlich.
Following the vows, guest feasted on filet mignon, salmon, gazpacho, vegetable tarts and tuna carpaccio prepared by Josh Eden and Wylie Dufresne. For dessert, four different wedding cakes were served, including coconut, chocolate, vanilla and a layered vanilla-and-chocolate cake with a miniature bride and groom, and boy and girl, on top.
