Former ‘Bachelorette’ Jen Schefft Engaged to Joe Waterman

Jen Schefft and Joe Waterman Former “Bachelorette” Jen Schefft is engaged to her boyfriend of seven months, Joe Waterman.

“I’m so excited and so happy,” she tells People.com. “We really get each other. I guess it’s true things move fast when you meet the right person.”

The couple have been dating since February, when they were set up by a former blind date of Schefft’s. They are planning a Chicago wedding for 2009 they say will be small and intimate with 50 to 60 of their closest friends.

Schefft was formerly engaged to Andrew Firestone, who proposed to her on the third season of “The Bachelor” in 2003. They broke off their engagement less than a year later, and she went on to become next “The Bachelorette.” Unfortunately she did not find love — until now.
