Avril Lavigne is engaged to Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger.

After a whirlwind six month romance, Kroeger proposed on August 8 with a 14-carat engagement ring.

The Canadian couple collaborated on Lavigne’s upcoming album back in February, but have kept their relationship a secret.

It will be the second marriage for Lavigne. She was previously married to Sum 41′s Deryck Whibley.
