Ashlee Simpson Pete Wentz Honeymoon Parrot Cay Resort

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz spent their four-night honeymoon at the exclusive Parrot Cay Resort in Turks and Caicos. Although Pete told Ryan Seacrest they were, “sitting in their basement eating Di Giorno’s,” the couple were actually floating on a raft outside their $2,700-a-night villa.

Parrot Cay is a favorite of Julia Roberts, and Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, who were married there in 2005.

Location: Parrot Cay Resort in the Turks and Caicos (see map), a group of islands in Northern Caribbean 575 miles from Miami.

Travel: While Ashlee and Pete spent somewhere in the $25,000 range (one-way!) for private jet air travel from Van Nuys Airport, you can find a round-trip ticket from Miami for $500. American Airlines, Delta and US Airways fly to Providenciales, the main island in Turks and Caicos. There are daily nonstop flights from locations such as Miami, New York and Boston. Parrot Cay is a 35-minute speed boat ride from the marina.

Accommodations: The resort’s aesthetic is defined by whitewash interiors with teak finishings, Balinese furniture, four-poster beds draped in voilet and balconies with day beds. Ashlee and Pete stayed in the $2,700-per-night, one-bedroom beach villa, a semi-detached beach house with direct access to the sand, a spacious living room, and a conservatory with sun loungers, private sundeck with heated plunge pool. Rooms at Parrot Cay are generally anywhere from $525 to $8,000 per night.

Amenities: Located on a private island, Parrot Caycombines 1,000 acres of sand and sea. It features 42 airy beachfront rooms (some with private pools), two restaurants, two bars and the world famous Como Shambhala Spa. While at Parrot Cay, Ashlee and Pete avoided the common areas of the hotel and preferred to relax in the privacy of their oceanfront hammock and private plunge pool. They shared a candlelit dinner in a tiki hut, courtesy of their private butler, and swam in the ocean daily.

Spa: The world famous Como Shambhala Retreat is a favorite with celebs. Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck loved the spa so much, they still order the products for their L.A. home. The spa includes a 540-square foot infinity pool, yoga room, Pilates studio, treatment rooms, steam, sauna and outdoor Jacuzzi garden. Ashlee and Pete enjoyed the Como Shambhala Massage, a 75-minute nurturing massage with signature blended oil to calm the mind and rejuvenate the body.

Total Estimated Cost: Approximately $5,600, including two round-trip flights from Miami ($1,000), four nights in garden view room ($2,100), spa treatments ($500), food and beverage ($1,000) and miscellaneous expenses ($1,000).
