Who better to turn to than celebrities when looking for inspiration on picking a wedding cake?

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries chose a six-foot-tall chocolate and vanilla wedding cake, by Hansen’s Cakes, to tie into their black and white wedding theme. The ten-tiered dessert reportedly cost between $15,000-$20,000. Kelsey Grammer turned to cake goddess Sylvia Weinstock to create a four-foot tall carrot cake for his New York wedding to Kayte Walsh. The confection had gold sugar flowers at the top and cascading down the side. Niecy Nash’s six-tiered cake, by Vanilla Bake Shop, was called the Lavender “Romance & Bling” Wedding Cake. Kate Moss’s six-tiered wedding cake, by London baker Peggy Porschen, was an ornamented traditional white cake surrounded by yellow and peach-colored roses at the base. Prince William and Kate Middleton’s royal wedding cake was an eight-tiered fruit cake covered in white icing, made by British pastry chef Fiona Cairns. Their initials, C & W, were stenciled into the cake’s bottom layer. “DC Cupcakes” star Katherine Kallinis got a big surprise at her Montecito wedding when her sister, Sophie, suprised her with a nine-foot tall wedding cupcake tower made of 5,000 cupcakes.
